Oasis Foods has strong support from the University of Rochester community, including mentors from the Ain Center for Entrepreneurship, faculty and nutritionists from the UR Center for Community Healthy, as well as business faculty. The City of Rochester has expressed interest, along with Foodlink, of the largest food banks in the country. FoodLink is currently working with the young company on a partnership that would decrease produce, distribution, storage, marketing and staffing costs for Oasis Foods. We are actively establishing relationships with local places of worship, including St Mark’s and St.John’s, which serves a low-income community in Rochester. We have also established a community partnership with the President & CEO of Western New York NeighborWorks Affiliation to transform neighborhoods together.
